![]() The narrative work is a definitive history of the Saddam Hussein trial, filled with insights from Newton’s four trips to Baghdad to serve as legal advisor to the tribunal. Of particular note, his book entitled Enemy of the State: The Trial and Execution of Saddam Hussein was published by St Martin’s Press September. He remains active in the field of international criminal law in addition to his teaching responsibilities. Newton serves as Professor of the Practice of Law at Vanderbilt University Law School.
